Coupes seem to be the next big thing. In Europe, for example, Ford is considering bringing back is the legendary Capri as a competitor for the newly launched Volkswagen Scirocco. At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show Ford will celebrate the coupe’s 40th anniversary with the launch of a concept version of the future Capri. This follows the footsteps of the Visos concept launched in 2003 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
After the concept version, the Capri will be unveiled as a coupe and probably also as a convertible model. A six-cylinder engine is expected, but a possibility is also new four and five-cylinder engines to give the car a power range from 140 to 250 hp.
Because the Capri is expected to be built on an existing small or mid-sized car platform, it may be chosen to come to the U.S. along with other smaller European Ford models.
Peugeot is preparing for a new fresh family of cars. And the first in this family will be the luxury coupe 504, that will be launched at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The design will be inspired by the 308 RC Z Concept and will be similar in size with the 407.
Mechanicals are likely to be shared with Citroen’s C5, so the car could get a powerful 2.7-litre V6 diesel and air-suspension.
Peugeot is also working on successors for the 204 and 205 in an attempt to become the leading manufacturers of low-CO2 cars.
2007 Peugeot 308 RC Z
According to AutoExpress the future A1 Cabriolet will look exactly like this when will make its official debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. When will go on sale next year, its biggest competitor will be Mini.
Under the hood of the future A1 Cabriolet, Audi will offer both 140bhp and 170bhp 1.4 TSI turbo and supercharged units currently found in the Golf GT Sport. These will use a six-speed double-clutch gearbox powering the front wheels.
TSI versions are set to be sales leaders, due to their appealing combination of refinement, performance and economy. A 150bhp 1.8 turbo engine will line up alongside the clever TSI unit, and the range will also include an entry-level 1.6 with 102bhp. Two 2.0-litre TDI oil-burners will feature, rated at 140bhp and 170bhp.
The S1 version will be powered by the same engine as the 261bhp S3 when it arrives in 2011.
BMW will unveil its future PAS (renderings by AutoBild) at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, while sales will begin shortly after.
With a length of 4.90 meter, the future PAS will be longer than the new X6 SUV. Placed between the 5 and the 7-Series, the future PAS will borrow the engines from the future 5-Series. It will be offered as a RWD model, but FWD will be offered as an option.
Power will start from 272 hp for the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and will go up to 420 hp for the V8 version.

The Audi A4 made its world debut last year at the Frankfurt Auto Show and on the US market will be available starting fall 2008. It will be offered with two powerful engines, both on gasoline. One will be the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder engine that delivers 211 hp and one the turbocharged 3.2 FSI V6 that delivers 265 hp. The A4 will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 6.3 seconds and will hit a top speed of 130 mph (electronically limited).
First unveiled in 1994, the A4 was a car with many lacks. Is true it was a quality car, but buyers would always prefer its greater competition: the BMW 3-Series. But it seems that the new generation comes to say “enough is enough”: with new look, new technology, new interior and many gadgets that makes the driving more pleasant and offers best security, the A4 is for the first time a car that stands in front of its competitors with no fear.
Compared to its predecessor, the designers tweaked the proportions into a new sporty ratio. The front overhang was shortened, and the hood and the wheelbase were extended visibly. The new A4 measures 4.70 meters (15.42 feet), nearly 12 centimeters (4.6 inches) more than its predecessor. The body also documents the advances: It is significantly stiffer and safer than its predecessor, while, at the same time, dropping about 10 percent of its weight thanks to intelligent lightweight steel construction.

Jean-Philippe Collin, Peugeot’s director announced at the Lisbon auto show that the 308 RC Z concept will go into production. Even if he gave no name for the model, he announced we will see the production version in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and sales will begin in 2010.
The production version will be one of the first models that will feature the CAP 2010 strategy. With an distinctive style created by "Style Peugeo" center, the model will keep the same distinct details of the 308 RC Z concept.
Based on the 308, the Peugeot 308 RC Z concept was unveiled in 2007 at the Frakfurt Auto Show, being a model with an sporty design, impressive performances, but in the same time very economical.
